AVSEC is unfortunately unable to provide care for any wildlife at our facility.  If you find wildlife that needs attention, please call Greenwood Wildlife Rehabilitation Center directly so they can provide you the best information for the care of the animal you found.

Greenwood Wildlife Rehabilitation Center is a nonprofit organization that is devoted to the rehabilitation and release of orphaned, injured, and sick wildlife.  They are the largest wildlife rehabilitation center of this kind in Colorado, each year treating approximately 2,500 mammals, birds and waterfowl representing nearly 200 different wildlife species.

If you find an animal that needs help, please call Greenwood’s emergency hotline at 303-823-8455 (9 a.m. to 4 p.m., seven days a week). Their receptionist will help you humanely rescue the animal in need and give you directions to transport the animal to Greenwood.

Outside Business Hours:

Greenwood cannot accept animals left at their center after business hours. If you have an emergency and Greenwood is closed, please refer to their website’s wildlife emergency page in order to give proper care until Greenwood can return your call.
