Amber is a Colorado native, born in Denver and raised in Arvada. She had a love for animals starting at a young age, and the tv show “Emergency Vets” prompted an early love for veterinary medicine.
Amber graduated from Bel-Rea Institute of Animal Technology in March 2012 with her Associate of Applied Science degree in Veterinary Technology, and completed a 3 month internship at Northside Emergency Pet Clinic. All through school the fast pace and constant change of Emergency Medicine seemed like the ideal career setting, and her internship sealed the deal. After graduation she worked for a while in day practice, but quickly made the change back to emergency in October 2012 when a technician spot became available at Alpenglow.
Amber lives with her 2 German Shepherds, 1 cat, 2 boa constrictors, 1 leopard gecko, and 2 rats. In her free time she enjoys mountain biking, camping, fishing, and competing in canine sports such as Schutzhund with her German Shepherds, Zeke and Berlin.
