Dr. Toby Eshelman

Dr. Eshelman received his DVM from North Carolina State University. He also received the following specialty training: Small Animal Surgical Residency; University of Illinois, Urbana, IL (2004-2007)
Small Animal Surgical Internship; Veterinary Specialty Center of Indiana, Indianapolis, IN (2003-2004)
Emergency and Critical Care Internship; After Hours Small Animal Emergency Clinic of Wake County, Raleigh, NC (2001-2002)

Dr. Eshelman has been providing specialty surgical care since 2008. His services include orthopedics, neurosurgery, oncologic surgery, and general surgery. His research interests include knee injuries in dogs, fracture repair and healing, intervertebral disc disease, and the tibial plateau leveling osteotomy (TPLO). Toby’s wife, Amanda Wagner, is also a veterinarian; in April 2014 they welcomed a new baby girl, Maya, and also share their home with 2 cats. In his off time he likes to ride road bicycles, particularly the flat or downhill parts.
